Clients expo booth saved by… a digital marketer — a case study

Can a digital marketer save physical campaigns?

Last weekend my client had an expo in Germany (Nov ’23) — game and anime related — where he was spreading the news about their game studio, promoting indie titles. Nothing unusual — you let people play your game, hand over some flyers, stickers and encourage visitors to sign up for a closed beta or waiting list.

For my client it was a simple landing page with more info about a release date and some closed-beta sign-ups. The difference was that analog campaigns — like an expo booth — are events where you cannot A/B test, pause or delay. You need to be all in!

What went wrong?

That a cute landing page, webflow-based, was lagging in peak hours — on moderate traffic — was a nightmare he had no idea having. Luckily, we’ve been testing our systems, adding their URL to the list some time ago.

Protip: don’t use webflow for your key campaigns

How did we manage to warn him? Our startup (a-irene.com) sends Telegram and email alerts, each time a website has problems loading or simply crashes.

How you can control your clients success

As you might notice, there is no easy to use system for marketers where they control — and predict — servers performance — and traffic disruptions — during a campaign. That’s why we made one!

Imagine you not only support your client in campaigns but also guard his websites to make sure they exhibit peak performance while budget is spent on traffic.

You basically add an extra service to your offer, that costs you less than
$1 / year per url, collecting data about your clients infrastructure. For your prospects, you immediately have something to give as a value in 1st contact, they might not be aware of. [graphics with server performance]

Between us — you know there is a problem in reporting that lowers your numbers and the respect you gain? While you run a Facebook campaign for your client, paying for clicks, FB charges you, Google Analytics is counting valid visits — but you have no idea how many simply couldn’t visit the website due to poor performance of downtime.

With us — a-irene.com — you can have this numbers waiting for you in a dashboard or google sheet, demonstrating to your clients how more effective you’d be if only their servers were bulletproof.
